What are dental bridges?
A dental bridge is a fixed restoration used to replace a missing tooth (or several teeth). Dental bridges join an artificial tooth permanently to adjacent teeth or dental implants.
What is the procedure like for a dental bridge?
First, you will need to consult with your dentist to discuss your missing tooth or teeth.
If you and your dentist decide to move forward with the dental bridge procedure, you will have an impression taken of your teeth.
The next appointment will involve placing the bridge into your mouth and cementing it into place.
Dentures
Dentures can replace one missing tooth, or as many as all of your teeth.
What are partial dentures?
Partial dentures are used when your teeth and gums are not strong or healthy enough to support dental bridges or implants.
They attach to your current teeth for support and are removable.
What are full dentures?
Full dentures are also known as complete dentures. Full dentures might be recommended if you have lost all of your teeth.
These are removable and are held into place with suction.
